Well, about seven years ago (when Jesse was 19 months old) the three of us went to Kennedy Space Center. I still do not recommend it for small children. It was almost like we didn't go (sorry Jesse). We finally made it back to Kennedy after all these years with all four of us. I think the girls had fun; I know John had fun. We saw one of the IMAX/3D movies about the Hubble. I know that was my favorite part!
We also took in the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Yes, we went to Disney World. The only place where John and I could trick-or-treat too and not be looked at badly! lol John actually relaxed, especially since we were there for three full days and only went to MK. John is working the pics so I'll have to load them later.
The most exciting thing was the first night when Chloe's other loose tooth decided it was time to come out. :) All of our vacation pics have her missing both her front teeth.

John's Birthday!!
I think, once he got home last night, John had a great birthday. We went, for the first time, to Carraba's for dinner. It was delicious and we will go back. Then we went to Lowe's so John could use his gift card he got from my parents. He bought himself a new ladder; it is a step ladder AND an extension ladder. He had been looking at it for awhile and now he owns one. So, happy for him! The girls got him a havoc heli as a present. He loved it and they all had a lot of fun with it last night. He didn't want a cake this year, but a giant cookie instead. Again, I'll post pics soon.
Yes, I realize I have not posted pics of Halloween decor or Chloe's missing tooth. This week...I hope!! It is a matter of finding the cable for the camera unless I use John's computer (which I don't like to do...I'm too used to my laptop.) :)

John's "early" birthday
My parents came down today to surprise John with a short visit to celebrate his birthday. They brought with them an Oreo cheesecake. YUM! John was truly shocked and grateful for his "dinner". ;) We will celebrate more tomorrow on his actual birthday, somehow.
And the house is clean!!
Now, to keep it that way.

Am I getting over the hump?
I have been telling people for months my home is a wreck. It truly has been. However, most of my friends have not believed me simply because when people do come I make sure it is as perfect as I can get it. John is a different story; he knows how it has been and he has been, somewhat, patient.
I cannot say what got into me last night but the girls and I cleaned the living room and dining room table. I finally got caught up with dishes. I even managed to work on my Avon spreadsheets (remember I am an accountant by education), clear off the classroom table and my desk. Yep, for the past month we have been having class downstairs. That in and of itself does not help keep anything clean.
I am hoping this is the start of getting everything back to where it should be. Upstairs still has the piles of fall/winter clothes I pulled out to wash for the girls. There are still papers to file and things to do, but I felt good about being tired last night. Finally, I was tired and there was a reason for it. I'm hoping today goes as well, but it won't get done if I continue to sit here.
An additional note for Wendy, I am hoping to take/post those pictures this weekend. Fingers crossed!!

Jealous
Typically, I am not the jealous type. However, I am incredibly honest. So my reflection for today is this. I was taking a few minutes before starting dinner this afternoon to catch up on the blogs I read, when I can. Then the green-eyed monster appeared. I was looking at a blog I found through a friend of mine and sat there wishing mine were as gorgeous as hers. I'm sure she has some kind of education on computers or is a graphic artist. Her blog is sublime to say the very least. Then I arrive here. I love the color (and yes Mom I know the picture is old now and the lists should really be updated) and yes, I do like it. Key word is like. I don't love it. But then realization sets in...I do not have time to figure out how to make mine beautiful. I barely have time to breathe, as I glance at the clock and realize I need to start cooking because I have to teach TKD by myself tonight and the mats were not put down last night because it was a holiday.
My plate is full. I just wish my plate were prettier.

Snaggle tooth!!
I just took out Chloe's front tooth! It has been so loose for weeks but she just didn't want it out. She just told me it was "hurting". So it took about a minute (I had to get my fingers on it) to get it out. It is going to take me a while to get used to seeing her like that. :)
I'll put in a picture tomorrow.

It's October?
Wow, I guess it is. A few of our neighbors have decorated for Halloween. We have too! John put out his Halloween village, with a new addition this year. He now has a haunted house. I have to admit it seems pretty complete. I will try to take a picture one night with all the lights on.
A friend of ours recently sent us a box of clothes to go through. Of course, Chloe was elated with the Tink pjs and t-shirt. Jesse found many things she loved too. More laundry, but I don't mind since they are SO happy with their new treasures.
We are getting back to yardwork again. My enthusiasm is still lacking, but I am looking forward to having it all complete. My first focus is going to be the garage. I find it funny (strange) that it is John's garage but I'm the one mostly cleaning it. John has misplaced a garage remote and personally I'd like for him to leave mine alone. I sometimes find myself in my car ready to leave but unable to open the garage door. So the opener must be found soon.
I imagine this weekend will be filled with chores. John really wants to hit the fence again and work on the area surrounding the grass in the back yard. We still need to get rid of the weeds and put down mulch. I would like to get my bird feeders back up but I'm not sure how I feel about the cats trying to eat what I'm trying to feed. Still need to think about that one.
John's birthday is fast approaching and I have to say I have no clue what to do for him. I know he wants to go out to dinner but other than that I'm not sure. I have a couple of things in mind, but the girls and I are still trying to decide what direction to go in.
