Last week, I was sitting on the couch (I don't remember what I was doing exactly, but that is where I was) when John asked, "What is going on with the library thing? I checked the blog and there is nothing there."
Of course I had to laugh. John keeps up with our daily activities by reading the blog. Therefore, when I don't blog for a bit he wonders what we have been up to. But this particular question, worded that way, cracked me up.
I had been telling Jesse she needed to ask Mrs. Paula, the librarian over the junior volunteers, if she needed to reapply for the upcoming semester. Jesse finally did ask, but we neglected to inform John of the answer. The answer is she no longer has to apply. Once you are in the program, you can stay as long as you like. They only ask the "regular" volunteers, which is now Jesse, to take the summer off because they get another sixty applicants for the summer months and want them to have a time slot to work. Jesse can let Mrs. Paula know what date she wants to start back in the fall.
I still think John is funny. :)
