I'm not sure what it is about this time of year, but so many people seem to be so boisterous about "look at what I did".
Yes, we have big hearts in this house; however, going onto Facebook (or whatever social media) to announce the kind gesture you did for whomever just seems to take the good out of it. Great, you did something good. I wonder why you feel the need to announce the good deed to the world.
I am not sure where our society is going when it seems people only do good things so they can brag about it to those around them. So they can get a "slap on the back" and an "at ta boy".
If you are reading this, I ask you do one good deed for someone. Anyone, be it someone you know or not. Then DON'T announce it anywhere. I promise it fills your heart more than all the "great jobs" from those who were not the recipient.
