Well we did it...

We had a real vacation after just two years! John hasn't been able to take off any time at work because they were short-handed, then he had school. We have been talking about what to do and where to go since October. We were hoping to go in December but his school was rescheduled for January and February (instead of November and December).

So, are you dying to know where we went or have you guessed already?! Yes, good ole Disney World, for seven glorious (I didn't have to drive at all!) nights. It really was a fun trip. Of course we got little to no rest but we had a great time. John even enjoyed a few things he was originally dreading (Nemo the Musical being one). This time we actually went to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM), we've never been there before. And they just opened a new Toy Story 2 ride there last year...we LOVED it! We rode a ton of rides we never had a chance to ride before and the girls were tall enough to ride new rides too.
There are two things that stand out for me:

I was making a purchase and had to show and ID. My military ID was on top so that is the one I grabbed. Ms. Judy asked me if I was in the service or my husband. I told her my husband. She let Jesse pick a Disney pin to keep (no trade, just gave us one). She said she likes to do that for the service members. So sweet. Then later that day at Downtown Disney, John was paying for something and he gave me a strange look then said, "She has the Goofy pin." I had been looking for four days for a Goofy pin only to realize the pin I wanted had been discontinued. I told her my story, just as small talk not thinking anything of it, then she handed to me (again, no trading, just gave). I told her I couldn't but she insisted. I took her picture and now she is in our photo album so I'll always remember her. They were both just so sweet!

I think Chloe's favorite thing was meeting Tinker Bell. She loves Tink! The whole hour and a half she stood in line with a smile. Beaming, actually.
Jesse's favorite thing was Splash Mountain for the simple reason that she got wet! That girl and water!
As for John's favorite thing, I'm not sure but I'm going to take a stab in the dark...the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream. I think he is also most grateful for BARELY missing be made fun of at the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor. They pick people out of the audience to put on the screen to be Sully, Mike and Boo. The man sitting just to the left of John was picked to be Mike. He says he'll never go in there again! LOL "It was too close."

We really did have a great time and on the way home we chose our next destination (in 2 years)...Washington DC, by then both girls will be ready for it!

John and the girls at Epcot.

Jesse and Chloe with the pirate! ARGH! Boy has he been holding that wheel for awhile!!

Jesse and Chloe at Magic Kingdom.

All of us with Belle after "Storytime with Belle". Now, that was great fun!

We love Mater!!!
