I cannot believe it has only been six days since I blogged!
I'll start with last weekend. We went to Charlotte to visit with my parents for two nights. John and I took the girls to Concord Mills, to the Disney and Lego stores. We walked the entire mall! The funny thing was I ran into a friend of mine from Columbia there. Not someone I grew up with (like you would think), but someone from here and now. Too funny! (at least to me) :) The next day we went to IKEA.
Jesse talked John into some boxes for her room. Chloe wanted a little stuffed animal, but John told her to get one of each. They were tiny and less than $1. John and I found a platter we liked and a couple of kitchen towels. The big thing was the inspiration. I love going through their "rooms" and getting ideas.
Wednesday we went to see "Cars 2". All of us enjoyed it; a fantastic movie (even if there was not a mini Toy Story movie before it started).
I don't think I've mentioned yet we bought a pool. Yep, John finally decided. We spent almost twelve hours yesterday getting the space level then putting out the mat and the pool. It is an INTEX pool that you just fill, it is fifteen foot diameter and the water level is at Chloe's neck. The pool is almost full of water now, then we'll hook up the filter and put in the salt. The girls are beyoned excited, so is John.
John was on vacation all this week. We had a great time this week. Nothing has been done in the house and none of us seem to be concerned about it. :) And neither of the girls had rehearsals this week either, so it has really been great.
Next week will be our last week before school starts. We start on the 19th. I have a few projects I want to get done before then. I have high hopes for it.

That pool sounds fantastic! I don't know if y'all are in a heat wave but we've had multiple days of, I'm serious here, 106 degrees.
We JUST came in from being in the pool the first time. It was nice, but thunder sent us in after only 45 minutes. We were getting up to 101 a few weeks ago and now we are back in the low-mid 90s. Hope you guys are finding ways to stay cool.
