I didn't post yesterday...this is why.

I was doing some cleaning and organizing yesterday. During one of my, "I'll sit for five minutes" the Chew was coming on. That is when we learned yesterday was National Eat Tacos Day (or something close to that anyway). It just so happened I had tacos on the menu for dinner last night.

John actually started cooking the taco meat for me. A little later, I went in to do all the cutting and chopping necessary for tacos. We were almost ready to eat when the unbelievable began happening. John was going to make his own taco sauce (yes, he does that every time we have tacos) and was pulling a Pyrex bowl from the cabinet. I'm not sure how what happened next happened, because he was behind me, but I heard a loud piercing thwack. The bowl had not just broken but shattered. Some of the pieces looked like snowflakes they broke up that much.

The problem: the meat was open on the stove and glass had flown all over the room. We were not certain glass didn't get into the meat. So, what to do. Chloe still wanted tacos; it was still National Eat Tacos Day. We collected all the big pieces and swept the floor a bit, then headed off to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Would you believe at 6:02, the restaurant was packed! Okay, it is not a large restaurant, but the ENTIRE parking lot was full, including around the back. What do we do? John really didn't want to go in, so we wound up going to get pizzas.

Of course, after dinner I still had to clean the glass from the counter tops and vacuum the floors and counter tops to make sure nothing was left behind. Then, of course, it was bitterly cold last night so we had the girls "sleepover in our room". I had no thoughts of getting on the computer. I was done. So consider this my post from yesterday. :)
