We have strawberries!

Yep, I have not killed the strawberry plants yet. They are filling with strawberries and we actually picked our first three the other day. I don't know how they tasted because there are four of us and someone had to make the sacrifice. I am assuming they were good, because this morning when I was watering the plants, I noticed something had been nibbling on one of the strawberries.

The tomato plants are alive, but John thinks they are looking "not so good". I'm being optimistic.
School is actually on track this week. We caught up on all that I wanted to over the weekend and now it is just a day by day kind of thing. We should be finished mid-June (we have taken quite a bit of time off lately so that was not surprising).

John and the girls got me my Mother's Day/birthday gift early. A buffet for the dining room. I've been talking about getting one since we moved in and we finally have one. I love it. I have put all of my larger pieces in it, so my kitchen is working so much better now. Love it!!

I expect May to be a bit crazy around here. We are still waiting for the fence people to notify us of their arrival. And the landscaper has to come move two sprinkler heads because the plat had our line over further than what it really is (we had to get a metal detector to find the stake). Nothing serious, just waiting...something I'm not great at.

Oh! Well, this will bore most and excite some. We finally received our last box of books for school next year. Math is usually last because of the special they run in April. I'm just glad we have everything and now I can focus on redoing the Grade 2 reading list and working on the lapbooks for geography. See, some are bored and some are excited. :) The only problem I'm having right now is our classroom. I love the classroom, location wise; however, the organization is leaving something to be desired. I just cannot put my finger on the solutions. I'm hoping to have it figured out by the time school starts for next year.

It sounds like you need a trip to Ikea :)

Our strawberries and tomatoes both look good - thank you VERY much! Well, except for the one strawberry plant that Hermione thought needed to be removed from the dirt yesterday - I'm crossing my fingers on that one.

No picture of the buffet?? I'm glad to hear school books are in and schooling is going well!

I put in a pic of the buffet for ya, Wendy! I knew you would be please to hear about the books. And I would love to get to IKEA; I just have to finish the yard before I can go anywhere. :(
