Yes, it is 10:45 and I have already spent two-and-a-half hours weeding. After seeing the weather forecast this morning, I decided I really needed to get out and work on the new flower bed while it would be kind of cool and cloudy. My goal was not perfection this morning but to make it look as though something had been done. I believe I achieved that. The new flower bed is looking good and I even got a large area of growth to the left side of the yard. There is where I found the reason for such a good growth of weeds; I uncovered a sprinkler head! I should have known. I still have a good bit to do in the new flower bed: more weeding, mix in some good top soil with the crappy dirt we have, mulch, etc. I am really excited about getting it done. I was hoping last year after we had the grass put in on that side that we could do the bed then, but it didn't happen that way. So, I'm really excited to see it happen now. Yeah!
As far as furniture moving went last night, we did get a lot done. John is now very happy the computer is in our bedroom (I prefer no computers in the bedroom but I won't argue). The bookcase that was in our bedroom is now in the living room where the other bookcase was. The "other" bookcase is going to go upstairs into the classroom behind my desk. Some of the things on display in our bedroom will probably go upstairs into that bookcase, but honestly I don't have all of that figured out yet. The hard part for me today will be getting the bookcase upstairs by myself. I really can't leave it in the living until tonight. Really. It would drive me nuts. No, I'm not a clean freak, I'm a "it must be in its place!" freak. So, walking around the bookcase last night and some this morning has me at my breaking point already.
The girls are enjoying their last week of summer. Yes, school starts next week. Have I started SOTW II? Of course not. Am I worried? Unbelievable, no. It will get done; I just don't know when right now. Another reason I have to finish moving furniture is because I have to order their books from the library today so I'll have them for next week. And right now all of my stuff upstairs is everywhere. Life is fun!
