Our summer begins to wind down...

Today has been rather relaxing. The girls have spent the day on and off Tink's Pixie Hollow. Now, that they know the other fairies are actual people on there I think they are enjoying it more. Jesse wants me to tell you she found a girl named "Daisy" and she loves that name.

I have spent the afternoon working on school things. Yes! I can't believe I've actually gotten some things done. I cleaned off the classroom table. Now, the girls have to finish cleaning off their art supplies off of the classroom table and art table. I typed out the schedule for Story of the World II. But I still have not worked on notes for SOTW II, that will come I'm sure.

I have to admit I've been a bit panicked the past week or so. I knew I had decided to have Jesse work on the Presidents of the United States, but for the love of Pete I could not remember what I decided to do or how to do it. Well, I finally had time to sit down with my laptop to search through my school files. There it was! I had all the info (page numbers from the workbook and titles to library books) in a spreadsheet. The only thing I didn't have was how to fit it into school. I finally came up with adding another subject, which is what I think I decided to do a couple of months ago. So, yeah!

This is the first school year I am actually excited about starting. Our first year, I had John in the back of my head saying, "she has to read, she has to read". That of course panicked me. Second year, was OMG we are doing English language, history and everything! Panic! Then last year, we of course added Chloe. This year, even though Chloe is adding on subjects, I feel more excited about what is about to happen in our tiny classroom. Some chemistry (in the kitchen), history for all, science (a different subject for all), English language and the list goes on. I think the excitement stems somewhat from spending the last month working on reorganizing the house. Therefore, when school starts next week, we just have to worry (mostly) about school.
