Life...complicated

Our life always seems to have complications, most people have this problem I know. The girls and I are cutting back on our trips to town dramatically! We are trying a new schedule grocery shopping every two weeks and the library every two weeks. We still have TKD twice a week but I have no control over that one (except to quit, which we won't).

I just found out there is going to be a martial arts tournament at our Rec Center on February 13th. We have to be there because as black belts we'll be judges. I've done it before, but honestly it is not something I'm comfortable with yet. Jesse, however, loves it. And so does Chloe. I don't know if we'll compete. I would like to have another chance at sparring; I didn't do my best last time. I need to remember it is not class and going easy is not something I'm suppose to do. It is a competition. We'll see.

School is going well. We are on track this year for our longest break ever and it worries me. Last year we took four weeks and when we started back I received blank looks. I don't really like blank looks. Though by the time we get there we may not have that much time. John is at a point at work where he has to take off an incredible amount of time this year or lose it. All that means is he'll be at home a lot and I'm still not convinced we can work while he is home. He gets bored rather easily.

John has been talking about getting a Wii ever since the first when we went to Edgefield and he played at Sonny and Mari's. For two weeks, I've been getting hints. Maybe if he had one he would leave us alone for school, but then the girls would want to watch or play with him.

Not much more to say. John will be taking a trip to Charleston for a week and we are going to have to miss it. I already had a list of places to visit for class that week, but sometimes you just can't get what you really want. This will be one of those times. Again, oh well.

I think he is getting used to his job. He has gotten many compliments from people about how organized and clean the space is now. I think it makes him feel better to know someone, anyone, is noticing he is working very hard at this new job. Of course as always I'm proud of him.

That is too funny. We looked at them last night at Target. He'll have to drive me crazy talking about it for a couple of more months before he does it. Anything to drive me crazy is his favorite hobby. Well, his only hobby. LOL
