Crazy dog! (not ours)

We went to my parents today to pick-up a Japanese Cherry tree. While we were loading the tree, a neighborhood dog came by. It came down through my Dad's yard and sniffed around us, then went on its way. Now, we have seen this dog often and it seems friendly, but none of us have every been really close to it. A few minutes later the dog came back. Then he decided to follow us into the backyard. Well, the darnedest thing. The dog found one of my Dad's gourds laying on the ground. It moved it with its nose and heard the rattle of the seed. It was on then. The dog picked up the gourd (which he could barely hold in his mouth) and started bouncing all over the place. Then it laid down with its rear-end in the air. All of a sudden it tore down through the garden and hit the dirt road, for the plant nursery behind my parents, and was out of sight. We were all cracking up. None of us had ever seen anything quite like it. Less than a minute later the dog was back and put the gourd down right where he had found it. Crazy dog!
