Our day began with a leisurely drive to my parents. lol Leisurely my rear! I was very excited and nervous about what we were going to do today. My Dad let us have his Japanese Cherry tree from his front yard...roughly 16 foot, though my Mom says more like twenty. With the aid of our good ole' friend Wilburt, my Dad and I got it out of the ground (John was doing computer work for my Mom, then came out to help us load it.)
It is stunning and will soon burst with blossoms. I love these trees! They are just so beautiful. And when we put it in the yard, I knew Dad was right. It was the perfect tree for that spot. He also gave me a rose, but I have to wait to plant it after the fence is installed.
Tonight we laid forty of the one hundred and fifty one pavers we need...to get started. We know the rain is coming and I surely do not want to vacuum the backyard like I have had to do many, many times in the front. It is neither easy nor fun.
I'll post pics of the yard once the pavers and down and the some of the mulch. We are still working out the fencing. In other words, John has not decided what exactly he wants to do about the fence. Discussions are pending. :)
I'll be spending much of my upcoming time in Lowe's with all the new flower beds that need flowers and shrubs and such. But the fun did begin today. The girls held their first, of many I'm sure, soccer matches on the grass in the backyard. They were all giggles, especially Chloe who has no memory of ever having a backyard she could play in.
